That last EP they did was promising, hospice is a masterpiece, this was really average for me. I was unbelievably disappointed.

i think a lot of the reason for the disappointment some have expressed towards this and burst apart is that they aren't the same kind of album as hospice, but i don't think they could be. i love hospice as a one off, intimate album, but you can't base your whole musical career on making that kind of album over and over. hospice came from a genuine place and a fucked up dude, and i'm glad it exists, but i'm glad that that dude and his music have progressed.
