yeah it's definitely one of the best on the album.
I used to really hate playin' with fire but the way it builds up from an almost sinister but catchy as hell hook at the start, to a point where he's yelling raspily about very personal aspects of his life became so affecting. it's one of the more visceral tracks.
also keylbade, been bumpin d'usse all day. beat goes hard and he sounds hungry again. between that and believe me goddamn my hopes are starting to rise : (

Because I'm an asshole who saw a comment 4 pages ago, I'd just like to add that atlas shrugged is a piece of shit and isn't taken seriously anywhere except in the sad sad worlds of republican nutjobs

This albums commercial success has more to do with he quality of the cater 2 and the time he took in between LPs creating anxiousness and hype. Tbh I don't really remember this album well, but hearing you guys call a milli the best rap track ever is gross
|
| |
i cant stand a milli

@qwe I read fountainhead (most of it) and I get her style of writin isn't appreciated by people who have no interest in philosophy or politics.

Lil Wayne just recycles lyrics and beats for people who aren't familiar enough with rap to know it. Even carter 2 is a 2.5 at
best to any b boy,

Agree with lambs Tbh, lil wayne usually makes souless and overproduced stuff with bad constructed lyrics, besides his annoying voice and ego doesn't help. Don't care what mac lethal and em thinks about this guy, they are excellent rappers but I don't share their opinion and I prefer to jam god loves ugly instead of the carter 3. Fans of lil wayne are part of a laughable suicidal cult, now if you excuse me I'm going to jam black on both sides and endtroducing

call it what you want, it doesn't make what you're saying any less stupid

Never seen such passion and such rage related to the defense of an act like lol wayne. Is impossible to take his stuff seriously, he bringz the lulz

nothing wrong with this album verm stop being a pain in the rectum
|

Sorry insurrection but almost everything is wrong with this album. Dude, this is just tolerable in a
party of in a red light district, you know, in places when. I mean, we have stuff like mf doom, mos
def, public enemy, el-p, common, sadistik or even jay z or kanye west that depsite of certain horrible
albums have solid discogrpahy, a guy like wayne has been just a waste of space since tha block is hot
( which is one of the worst debuts in hip hop history) and you can't deny it, nothing good has been
made by wayne, even da drought deserves a 2
|
| |
you think tha block is hot was good but the rest is bad? genuinely don't think i've heard that opinion expressed before
|
| |
tha block is hot is awful , do you seriously think I jam that shit robert? LOL, you need to improve
your reading comprehension, stuff like we on fire drops gave children AIDS and juvenile is one of the
worst rappers ever, heard that album twice and it was repulsive, wayne has never done anything good in
his miserable life
|
| |
oh i thought by "since" you meant like that was his peak and it's all been down from here. well i disagree but dont think there's any point in trying to convince you otherwise. i think for a good time--like everyone else says, his peak was mid-2000s ish--he was a very vivid and unique rapper
