@thebhoy
You choo-choo-choose me?
Anywho, I debated whether or not I was gonna see him live but I think I missed my chance. Oh well, I still haven't given this album enough repeats.

This is a lot of fun, but it made me laugh when I started listening to it because I remember it was rated a 5. I downloaded it because of the review. Way overrated but a ton of fun to hear!
haha, there's just no way anyone could or should ever like this that much

album is such a bit of fucking class
i just picture some half-drunken, barefoot, long-haired dude in a white suit trying to take everyone in the room back to his abode for sleazy time. normally that probably wouldn't be hot. at all. but something about kaputt. FUCK

the lyrics are practically throwaway on this album
Savage Night and the title track are excellent

Lyrics are probably the best part of this album.

I saw him last night. The band was great and it really made me appreciate some of the stuff from this album more and as despite how awesome it was to see him, he literally stood on stage and read off of fucking lyric sheets for multiple songs. Some cowardly shit. War on Drugs showed them up, not surprisingly. I appreciate this album a little bit more but it's still mediocre.

Well they don't mean much...but it's all about the music, man!

this is one of those albums where i just got stuck on one track. that's the title track. sometimes i try to start this from the beginning and i just get bored quick. some songs are perfect though. no idea for a rating tbh, this 3.5 i think i have was just sorta there

Yeah, I'm lowering this to a 4.5, it's kind of worn off. still an amazing record though.

people talking about throwaway lyrics that don't mean anything on this page is making my head hurt.

"You can't believe the way the wind's talking to the sea. I heard that someone said it before. I don't care, I can't walk away. I can't walk away in Chinatown.
The wind and the rain to your detriment you try to explain a government swallowed up in the squall. I can't walk away at all in Chinatown.
I stare at the sky so I know which way that I drink my wine from a porcelain cup. I fall down.
You can't believe though I'm sure somebody said it before. I know you and I know the score. I can't walk away. You can't walk away."
The lyrics on the album are worthless. This album is good because I can just zone out on the lyrics and enjoy the music and the tone of his voice.

It's the music. It's so seductive...

The music is great. It sounds so original, which surprised me considering it draws from so many styles. I really like it.
