Maniac ftw, it's claustrophobic nature and Cage guest spot with the St Vincent sample is just total win.

Also wicked performance of the song on Jimmy Fallon with The Roots

nah, chill's the wrong word.

I think either "boring" or "uninspired" both work though.

Why do you think he's boring Inveigh?

he just doesn't do or say anything on the mic that interests me. the subjects he covers (weed, life experiences, self-reflection) have all been covered extensively before. That's not a bad thing, in and of itself, but he doesn't bring a new perspective to the table in my opinion.

Also there's nothing going on with his flow, rhyme scheme or word play that I find at all interesting or complex/technical.

To me this is more music for mass consumption than anything, which again, isn't all bad but that's not what this is being billed as.

I thought the inclusion of Mary J on the two songs about his cocaine stint fit perfectly, for obvious reasons. And the first half plays like one long awesome song. There's a few duds in the second half, but really this is great.

yeah pretty much

the beats are good enough to warrant at least a listen though, and I can see this as good background music to play before going out or something

Still better than Kanye's IMO. So many good songs.
