a little bit. people compare them a lot, but I guess I don't see it quite as much. you should give them a shot. they're very good. I would start w/ VoS, and then Prehistoricisms. Prehistoricisms is slightly better imo, but this is a little more accessible.
They're similar, but not as much as you'll hear imo.

I really picked this album out of total hasard in a shop (the cover was good and I felt like trying new things) and boy It was a great surprise , This is beautiful progressive with an unusual bass and badass drumming , the track valley of smoke is beautifull and so is vernom (bonus track for european editions ) the only thing that I would complain about is that a few tracks somtimes sound a bit the same , Other than that it's a great album well worth it's cost
