"The music always is always transitory, pointing to the future, to the next moment; it does not have a present. Instead of making time disappear, it makes it more apparent."
I think I've finally found exactly why I love post-rock so much. At least Godspeed, anyway. Thanks, man.

Gonna listen to Skinny Fists. Gonna 5 one of them eventually.

Lift... and Slow Riot... are both better than this album though.

I can't tell if I like Lift Yr Skinny Fists better than this... They're almost tied, I'd say.
Definitely do that.
Yanqui UXO isn't mentioned much on this site, for whatever reason. I rarely see it in any lists. That thing has Motherfucker=Redeemer on it, and I love that song, along with 09-15-00, which I love.

Complexity here substitutes content, long passages simulate profoundness and originality tries to equal craftsmanship.
i'd never say Godspeed's passages are musically complex, it's usually very pure and solid
And yet, sadly, it must be said: F#A#oo inspires more than it achieves.
surely that's a great thing?
