Just got this, well the Bright Lights version, nice songs. She loves that quiver effect on her voice.

I just think that because she sings so naturally, that it comes off as both a strength & a weakness depending on each individual line. It feels really personal at times, but feels too (for want of a better word) non-artistic at others. Ditto for her accent; At times, it's a strength, at others it just feels like a barmaid asking if you want a drink.

Bad example Caleb, as I think 'Guns & Horses' is near-perfect & the best song on here.
Tbh, it's no so apparent on this album... The over-use of synth is the main issue here. It just occasionally flairs up on her 4 million covers she seems to be doing.
