yeah the music is great, i just wish i could enjoy it, its easier to hear crappy black metal prod, this is way diff, i like to blast my music up with my earphones, but fuck even with all the years ive been blasting my ears it cant seem to enjoy the production...

The mixing on the vinyl version seems to be a little different than the digital copy I have. A lot of the more subtle bits (especially some of the keyboard work) you can hear more clearly.

Thanks to whoever first bumped this thread and made me realize I haven't listened to this in ages lol. Listening right now. This album without a doubt has some of the best guitar work I've heard on a black metal album.

The best part about Ulver is that they're so consistent. Whether it's as a black metal band or as an ambient/electronic/whatever group.

there's a difference between 'fittingly raw' bad production and 'oh sweet jesus this sounds like it was recorded from inside a cow's arsehole' bad production
