To me, it's a 5. One of the best modern metal albums around. Sick guitar riffs, awesome vocals, beautiful solos, lots of energy. What's not to love?

Yeah, it's pretty good. The harmonized leads on A Paradox With Flies are amazing!

That's my second favorite song! My favorite would have to be "An Ethereal Drain"

"I think they don't want anyone to know they wrote this album about pizza as a tie in with a motivational campaign for the drivers of big pizza but when they backed out the band said,"Fuck it! we'll just release it with the implication of a deep message and get Baizley to do the cover." That is why she's covering her eyes. To hide their shame. The shame that made Kris Norris quit the band. Gentlemen, they've been making fools of us all."

One of my all time favourite albums by one of my all time favourite bands. Top 5 for me in both respects without a doubt. Doomsayer, An Ethereal Drain & A Paradox With Flies are just unreal. Kris Norris is such a phenomenal guitarist.

Yeah, DH will always be one of my top 5 favorite metal bands. They still haven't let me down in terms of album quality.

High hopes for their next release. Totally kickass drummer behind the kit now, which excites me greatly. I've given up hopes of them topping this, but come on, this album is damn near perfect. I would love to see them come close to something this amazing again though.

I also listened to this the other day and I remembered how much of a rough patch it helped me get out of. Brilliant album. Funny enough, it is the only DH album I have listened to in full more than once! I need to check the rest!

I don't know why, but everytime I'd get home from class and put on this CD I'd fall asleep in under 5 minutes. My roommate thought I was crazy.

Ha! It's not cos the music was boring. Really heavy music luls me to sleep when I'm tired for some strange reason. Listening to Meshuggah at work should, in theory, keep me awake and alert, but it brings on the yawns. :-(
