and yea, I don't think LaBrie is a bad frontman really...

I enjoyed some of the songs on Black Clouds but this guy's voice is like omg... the effect of horror was only amplified by the abysmal lyrics. He sounds like Brett Manning or Robbie Williams. Also it's cute when he tries to be Hetfield in "As I am"...

Dunno the other one, but Jane Doe is actually very good. Didn't take me very long to get into it either. But all of those Iron Maiden and Judas Priest albums being close to 4.5 sounds ridiculous to me. Samey with Blackwater Park having a 4.5 average. A 4.1 or so would be much more appropriate.

Actually, you're the first person that I'm hearing about "Rust in Peace" from. Seeing it has such a stellar average, I'm probably in for a huge disappointment though

In my opinion their second best record just after Images and Words. The musical performances here are unbelievable, specially from John Petrucci and Mike Portnoy. My favourite songs are The Dance of Eternity and specially Home.



Home is in my opinion the best song this band ever made.

seriously the spirit carries on and through her eyes are incredible, but anything on Awake or Train of Thought would blow them away
