I don't see how can one decide if ia change is for better or for worse, I think grunge fans appreciated Reload much more tha MoP for example

You can't make a statement for the general population. I mean, my girlfriend (at the time) hated metal but she loved the Depeche Mode inspired Paradise Lost albums, so for her the change was good, but for me - not so much.

I'm not liking this very much, but I haven't yet heard a thrash album I like so my issue is probably with the genre.

I know what you're saying but even then I try to be really cautious when comparing changes in direction. Because I have enjoyed Draconian Times and Believe in Nothing equally but in different times or different situations.
That being said I also think Draconian Times is better, objectively, but when you're trying to be objective you must treat each record individually and respect any audience that ,ay come across the record.

I'm not really digging this that much to be honest. I mean it's good, but it gets very samey about halfway through. The guitar solos started to annoy me as well.
Probably a 3 or 3.5
I think i'm just not that into thrash anymore.

Thrash comebacks have mostly untouched me.
Except for Sodom they can do whatever they want I'll still wank to it.
