While Machine Head and In Rock are probably better albums, I love that this came in-between. It was basically a scrapbook of an album assembled on the fly, so you get a glimpse into Ritchie and Jon's creation process. It's incongruous and barely-finished, but in that ecclectic mix you can hear so much of the musicians' personalities. This is the nebula that coalesced into a star on Machine Head.
