Album pretty much sucks overall but one thing that really brings it down for me is the stupid, stupid lyrics.

"In the cities of the world

You know every boy and girl

Goes crazy to the beat of rock n' roll

And as the volume is soaring

All the crowd is roaring

Let it roll"

Give me a damn break.

I don't think the lyrics are nearly as bad as some of the terrible songwriting and overabundance of arena anthems

The song titles alone would suggest what you're letting yourself in for in listening to this abomination. To mention Turbo in the same sentence as Maiden's Somewhere in Time is criminal.

I Haven't heard Owen era Priest. I gave up with Priest after Turbo & the not quite as bad, but still lacklustre Ram it Down, and Rob leaving. Although Painkiller was a good "comeback", i rarely play it. I prefer 1976-'84 Priest. Sad Wings...& 'Vengeance are my favorites.

I wouldn't bother with Owens era unless you're a hardcore fan. Maybe check out Angel Of Retribution though, easily the best post-Painkiller album.

Owens is a fantastic vocalist though.

Owens has gotten screwed both times, having had to follow Halford and Barlow. He's never been the reason an album flopped, but he's also never been on a great album to my knowledge.

i thought he was great on the glorious burden, especially on the trilogy......by far his best album by a landslide
