Oh I'm well aware, when I'm not sure what people are specifically referencing I like to "poke" a bit to see what we're actually talking about so we don't talk past each other.

I definitely agree with that statement and I also believe the production on their latest LP was actually better than on this one. I also have to say I like the production of a lot of Wod-Ván and Prophecy releases like Ruins of Beverast, Nagelfar, Sulphur Aeon, Alcest, Arcturus etc.

Nice bands here, Arcturus is definitely is one of the unique bands I ever graced in to, never had question to the quality of their LP's. Also check out Graveworm's As The Angels reach the beauty, especially track Pandemonium and later, this is like perfect production they could achieve. It sounds awesome on high grade systems, without touchng any EQ's. That's the work you could only hope for.

awww shit man Graveworm I completely forgot about that band but that's definitely something to re-czech. Thanks for reminding me.

I'm quite satisfied that Arcturus is back, if I can I still want to see them live.

As for the whole EQ thing I've always felt like my sound system kinda amplifies the production of whatever I'm listening to so I don't really adjust much.

For some reason I never really got attached to this one, but it is really starting to grow on me a lot. I do wish the guitars weren't so "dry" sounding though

@bloc, yeah it's kinda shame the production on Be'lakor albums is the only weak part of their recordings. Even remaster version did not fix guitar sound. There are some melo-death albums with very good/audiophile production tho, like Novembrine Waltz.

Yeah, that one sounds good. I can forgive it though because the tone's not the worst thing ever and the music is quality haha.

Yeah this could benefit from some beefier guitar tones. Really quite an impressive album though

From Scythe To Sceptre has some of the album's best riffs

That riff at 1:40 is the best riff. Top 10 favorite metal riffs right there. But that Opeth riff at 6:00 always annoys me
