Oh hey evilford, nice rating :D
@cage, I showed Corridor to my friend who is really into rap with this in mind and he actually really dug it once he gave it enough attention. Meshuggah always do weird stuff like that, part of the reason I'm so obsessed wit them. Nothing was my first album by them but this is the one that really got me to love them, personally I think this is superior to DEI but then again I'm not the biggest DEI fan.

Most people's favorite is DEI, atleast on this site. I respect your opinion but I honestly don't understand... I just think their later stuff is way more interesting.

That's fair dude, I just prefer their later stuff. To me it sounds more focused, I dig the deeper sound, I like the lyrics more, etc etc. But like I said man, respect your opinion. DEI is still awesome as hell, just one of my least preferred Meshuggah releases.

lol that's awesome Lucca, did your friend end up digging more shug after that or just Corridor?

He digs it whenever I put it on, sometimes he requests it when he's at my apartment but I don't think it's the kind of thing that he listens to on his free time.

you'll convert him in due time!

Already made my prize fan aha, my roommate of the past couple years exclusively listens to folk, jazz and some 70s progressive rock. Spent a long time explaining how Meshuggah works and how intricate their music is, how poetic their lyrics are, how they created their own sound, etc and now he actually really likes them. Found him listening to Catch 33 when I came home from class the other day, I was so proud.

I got my friend into the title track of the newest Converge album and he doesn't listen to metal at all. He really respects it though and I think it's cool he always ask about my opinions on other bands.

my friends are pretty resistant to metal in general but I'm trying hard!
needs some metal friends...

My group of friends from home are all into metal, but I probably met two or three people who listen to metal in my college out of the almost four years I've been here. It's kind of annoying because when I find out about some cool new band/new album, I can't share it with anyone in person until I go home...sputnik keeps me sane, if I couldn't talk about metal all day I don't know what I'd do aha

same...I have a few close friends at work, but none of them like metal. I tell them it makes me sad. One of them actually jokes w/ me randomly that she is listening to meshuggah and then I say really???? and she says no and then I'm sad again

Aha, I mess with my friends all the time about how different our tastes in music are, I tell them they're not allowed to play music in my apartment unless its about killing people or loving Satan
