i dont see how the review gives any implications towards my musical tastes and mentality other than the fact that i don't like this particular album

Well, other people have addressed that already. Honestly, look at your Krallice review, and look at this one and tell me you don't see the difference. Your above statement would be absolutely true of that review.

the only difference between that review and this review is that this one has a much larger fanbase who are avidly opposed to any criticism of this album, which i took into account when i wrote it, making sure that any point i was trying to make was provocative in its wording. i wrote the two reviews with the exact same mentality and objectivity in mind, only differing at points where i knew i would garner a reaction

Very below par. It's just the same ridiculously fast and irritating beat in every song, there are no interesting fills and no diversity to speak of.

I never denied it. Writing in this style is definitely the best way to turn heads, especially when you're responding negatively to a very well received album.

See, this I DO hear. I think the technique works well overall; it doesn't bother me, so I can't agree that it hurts the album, but I don't think it's wrong.

yeah it gets attention alright, still its not the only way to get attention. When you negatively review an album almost everybody likes you'll get attention anyway so you don't have to write in such a hostile manner.This Message Edited On 01.27.09

Yeah, I've never been offended by reviews that I disagree with. Hell, I prefer reading reviews with different opinions than mine. It's more interesting.
I just thought this review came across as someone blurting out ignorant statements because they're pissed off at the popularity of the album.
