Then why did you include another white person in your list of people that are better at beats than Soulja Boy? Why not RZA? I'm sure he's a thousand times better than you are.

@gaber:

Hmmmm, perhaps because Barker made a remix of the song??? Oh wait, that makes too much sense.

@illmitch:

I could make an insult about "the same time as your balls", but I won't. Oh wait...

way better than the Travis Barker remix and also not done by a white person. Oh but wait now your latent racism makes too much sense.

Also nice maturity for that dig at illmitch. Really proving your point right about now.

You realize how much of a hypocrite you are, right? That remix sucks, btw.

As for the dig, it's called irony and sarcasm.

Irony? Sarcasm? For one thing you pretty much went for an expected joke, just take the first gay/pre-pubescent innuendo you can find and use it against him. Also it's not really sarcasm because you didn't mean the opposite of what you said. So fail on your part for using those literary terms incorrectly.

Then as far as the Travis Barker remix goes I don't even like Crank Dat and I prefer it to that bullshit. Great, Travis Barker knows how to play drums. I know like 10 people that could do something better than what Travis played (my mom is included in that list by the way). He also totally missed the point of the style, and a remix is supposed to complement the original not make it into something completely different.

If you cannot see the irony of that, you're a retard. Plain and simple. It also was meant to be sarcastic, which you would have found out after mitch replied, but you're too caught up being the racism police.

I too could play something better, and know many people who can also. That's not the point. The point is that it is better than Crank Dat, which is complete and utter crap. Also, a remix does not have to "complement the original", usually quite the opposite.

Way to ignore the hypocrisy point too, by the way ; )

Being holier than thou is no way to make friends. Also no, incorrect uses of the words irony and sarcasm.

As for me being a hypocrite, I think it's pretty stupid of you to think that acknowledging ethnicity makes one a racist. Maybe if you weren't so caught up on keeping your anxiety against blacks on the down low you would realize that normal people can acknowledge the achievements of other cultures, and you would start to work past your own prejudice.

Anyway no, Travis Barker's version was not better. The guitar part was just ugly, and it didn't mesh with the song at all, and the drums were quite frankly annoying. Needs to get off those symbols and use the rest of the drums besides the snare, kick, and one tom.

Those are not the incorrect uses, but I digress...

He uses the entire kit, which you would know if you knew what the hell you are talking about. Also, it's "cymbals".

As for racism:

I am not now, nor have I ever been a "racist". I don't give a FUCK what the hell your color or ethnic background is. If you're going to try and pick apart every little thing, trying to support your inane and asinine outlook, then the hell with you. Soulja Boy makes noise that transcends all racial barriers, and brings those of a creeds under the common banner of hate.

Ve te a la chingada.

lol

ok that was a mildly amusing diatribe.

I don't even like his music, I was just wondering how low you'd go to defend your own racism.

Racist.

Lost what? You don't even have a point. The best you can do is nitpick at me for misspelling a word or two and using an incorrect homonym. You seem to equate Soulja Boy with everything to be loathed in this world, a worthless nigger that we can all get behind bashing, and if that's what's important to you then it's fine with me. The only reason you latched onto the race argument is because you equate ease of argument with validity of argument. I call you a racist because you have a latent inadequacy against the accomplishments of blacks, you call me a racist for what? Defending black people? Not allowing you to get away with undue distaste for pop music?

No, I gave up on this argument because I could tell it was going to continue with me bringing up valid points and you ignoring them in favor of spewing the same points and personal attacks ad nauseum.

Oh by the way, speaking of shitty bands, I didn't realize that P.O.D. made a classic album. But you know, I guess there's no accounting for taste.

Oh hey, look! A Soulja Boy thread! Also, it has nothing to do with racism!

The sheer amount of inaccuracies in those few paragraphs astounds me. I admire you trying to take the higher ground here, but you can't when you're flat out fucking WRONG.

Racism is the same as any steriotype: Usually true, just unfairly exxagerated.

Reading between the lines, critical thinking, qualitative logical conclusions: these are all things you need to learn how to do.

Anyway I refuse to consider the musical opinion of someone who rates a P.O.D. album a classic and then turns around and bashes anyone who might like Soulja Boy. News flash: Nu-Metal is the ultimate and easiest genre to bash, as well as being overly simplistic pop in the same easy, mindless vein as Soulja Boy. So get off your fucking high horse because your taste in music is considered just as shitty.

Stereotyping has a different meaning altogether separate from stereotyping, which is closer to prejudice. But sure, it might have some basis in fact, just the same as saying white people like to rape because there are an inordinate number of white serial rapists.

Anyway, I'm just playing, Soulja Boy is a watermelon eating nigger that makes shitty fucking music that no one with half a brain would like.
