^ straight from the dictionary. with Lady GaGa, it's all about the image, the outlandish costumes, the spectacle -- and much less about the actual music. when you're using an image to sell music instead of letting the music sell itself, that's what is called a marketing ploy. or simplified further, a gimmick.

I can understand how people love this album, but people say that kind of dumbass nonsense so frequently and it pisses me off.
Lady GaGa is so QUIRKY and DIFFERENT and she's making a REAL statement! And her IDEAS are like, REVOLUTIONARY!
