This album is probably truly one of the greatest metal/thrash albums of all time...master of puppets is extremely catchy and after learning how to play master of puppets a year ago i still find it extremely fun to play, same with orion...its just a cool refreshing bass line, then it gets all depressing and crazy...i still can't play that last solo..just a great piece of work, everyone was at their prime on that album.

As far as I can tell, there's no rule against arguing as long as it is done intelligently, and your assumption that it is "fucked up" leads me to believe that intelligence is a department in which you are sorely undernourished. This Message Edited On 05.30.06

What i mean is your dragging a completely different argument from a completely different review in here. So i would appreciate if you took that comment about my intelligence and shoved it up your ass!

Wow. Yeah. Look, I didn't know it was posted before. However, it certainly looked like you were pissy from before. Anywho, you are not god. Nor are you a mod. Therefore, you can't make rules pertaining to arguments and enforce them yourself like some crazed Gestapo nimrod. So, in closing, nothing will be forced up my rectum, comment or otherwise, and you need to quit being twatty. I apologize for my apparently incorrect assumption, but an argument can be brought up as far as I am aware. This Message Edited On 05.30.06

Apology accepted. And i'm sure you understand that we don't need to drag arguments between reviews. There's already plenty of arguments without that.

Indeed, however if it appears to pertain to one already, then it needs to be called. And this one most certianly did appear to pertain to it.

This album isn't boring, either.

To you, perhaps not. To me, it dragged obnoxiously. Which, for an 8-track album, is unacceptable.

I'm not sure how guys can find this album boring. But to each is his own, I suppose.

What do people find boring about this album? Is it the vocals? Do you find a lack of creativity? All ive heard is "this is boring" without any reason why. I usually rate metal albums 2 or under if its too repetitive, lacks creativity, unoriginal, or if the songs are too poorly constructed, none of which I see is the case in this album.

Songs are probably too long (which he already said). Maybe he's right, all they are are intro-->verse-->chorus-->etc.etc. to solo--> back to a couple more verses. Meh, I like it, I don't realize it repeats.

Agreed^. Some songs are too long, which is probable cause for the speculation that songs are repetitive. I didn't really notice though. Accept in Disposable Heroes.

whoops I ment to agree with the matrix, Iluvatar beat me to the post. How are the solos vastly over-rated. Perhaps a tad over-rated but i think vastly is pushing the envelopeThis Message Edited On 05.30.06This Message Edited On 05.30.06

I'm more into technical solos. But that's your opinion so I'll respect it.

^That cant be the reason you think this album is a 2^ (to Iluvatar)

You say that the vocals are bad, the soloing is overated, and lars is a mediocre drummer. You also say you liked Ride the Lightning. The drumming is just as mediocre, the vocals are a little worse and more harsh, and the soloing (except for the song Ride the Lightning) isn't as good as this album. You must be missing something about this album if you like Ride the Lightning. This Message Edited On 05.30.06
