TDS may have been more of a landmark album, but this is better overall.

Definitely check it. Plenty of tracks that stand on their own.

"Somewhat Damaged" is so intense. I'm glad he included it, since it's a decent reminder of what was accomplished on The Downward Spiral, but it was good to take a more positive tone for much of the album.

^ Yeah man that track was the shit when I was younger. But listening to it now it kinda a little out of place in the album and one of the weaker tracks.
I know a lot of people don't like "Where is Everybody?" for some reason. Not sure why. I always thought the bass was catchy and it had a nice outro.

I always thought it was strange how everyone liked "The Wretched." I still think its one of the album's weaker tracks.

Yeah, it was a risky move. And they paid for it, as this did not sell nearly as well as TDS.

Yeah dude The Wretched is the shit. Totsy's right about it being like The Becoming Part 2.
The weakest track on disc one is probably No, You Don't just cuz it isn't totes amazing. I still think
the opening lyrics for it are fucking sweet though.

Hmm, there's this one slight imperfection (IMO) in this album. Does anyone else notice how trent's voice cracks at the end of The Fragile. Maybe this was left in intentionally, I don't know. But has bothered me for years. Seriously makes my spine twitch every time i hear it. Also, that's damn near my favorite track on the album. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

I really wouldn't mind if this album was just the left disc on it's own. The 2nd disc doesn't do anything for me personally. Double albums rarely do to be honest. For for me though the left disc is a great album within itself.

this is a fuck you for all those who didn't appreciate the great mind of a genious, you wanted another downward spiral?, then you're thinking wrong, this album actually gave the reason to all the people who sayed how great was the 90's and this album is a proof of it

The one-two punch of "We're In This Together" and the title track is the best part of the album.
I WON'T LET YOU FALL APART!

Ehh maybe. That part is fucking amazing though. I think the first disc in general is the best part though.

Recently pushed this up to a 5 next to TDS. Technically, TDS is a micron better, IMO, but I prefer The Fragile, ya know? This review isn't that good. Listened to this whole album high with headphones two years ago, man.... I was seeing buildings collapse during "The Big Come Down". I might have to write a more abstract, non-tbt review of this behemoth.
