is it just me or did the album lack direction!?

direction is what most bands started lacking come the metalcore/hardcore/screamo scene. Ugh.

I think it lacked the mature brutality of their newer stuff but had lots of pop emotion.

this is a staff review?
|
| |
the writing standards where a lot more lax when the site first started. basically it was just an extention of the forums. you can tell by the date that this was written back before there were even any staff. It only got the staff tag when Damrod got staffed a year later. everyone starts somewhere.

Too much pop. Some good tunes though.

It's official that Underoath is definitely my favorite metalcore band. It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door is so god damn good.

this is the only metalcore band I listen to except Unearth, but Unearth is more metalcore than Underoath. Underoath is like 1 part metalcore 1 part post-hardcore and 1 part pop

I don't know about pop, but yeah post-hardcore I agree with. They're so damn good and I've been listening to them a lot recently.
