The reviewer mentions Pentagram but NOT Trouble? WTF?!? Still...good review.

Yeah, Trouble would be more relevant to this band than Pentagram.

He mentions Pentagram once as a band who influenced doom metal. Can't really see the problem here. If he had mentioned Trouble as well, someone else would ask where is Witchfinder General or Pagan Altar. There is no ending haha.

I love the interviews on the expanded versions of Nightfall, AD, and TOC. The one on Nightfall, though, is the best.

Best Candlemass. The vocals are out of this world.

"Anybody else hear the Tony Iommi in that guitar tone?"
me personally, no
the closest i've heard to iommi's guitar is in pentagram's "Day of Reckoning"
i don't think iommi's tone would fit in a record like this
it's for the best these guys found their own niche

i mean it's not obvious or out in the open; there's definitely notes of Sabbath here imo, but Candlemass are definitely their own unique band as shown on their debut and any Messiah-era album.

Tone is a lot more distorted and punchy than Iommi's imo.
