This is way bigger in scope, much more mature songwriting, and has no bad tracks at all. HRP is the definition of overrated, I'd take any of their albums other than Omni over that.

When I saw them for the first time last year, I had a sign that said "HIGHLY REFINED PIRATE" with an arrow pointing down to me. Jake saw it and said "Oh, you are, are you? That's cool, man. I like you. Argh (his attempt at a pirate noise)." So good.

I saw them twice in two days. Second night was hectic as fuck, we were all packed into this two star hotel (ba doom tish) and everyone was singing, was so fucking great.

a week late but ummmmmmm that show was awful. I had a ticket but couldnt get in because it was
overcrowded so i had to watch it from the beach, minus the bear sounded fucking abysmal and having
seen the band only a few weeks before at the Mayan i assumed they'd still be fucking on but alas jake
obviously didnt want to be there and really phoned in his performance. Circa was good though.
