Thanks y'all.
Actually I gave their first album a try and it was average. Nothing stands out too much and also I prefer clean vocals in doom metal. The vocals on the 'Almost a Dance' album kinda terrify me, so probably gonna skip that one and continue to 'Nighttime Birds'.

Yeah the Anneke-era is where it's at mostly. One amazing release after another. Some of the post-Anneke-stuff is great too.

Oh I'm a moron, I thought Almost a Dance was the debut - so you are completely correct.
And it turns out I've never heard the debut.
Trif do you know Celestial Season?

Oh my Egarran I came here to bump this album for Omair because of his dig, but now I see I totally ignored your question. My sincerest apologies.
Answer, one week late: No, I don't know them!

But they're from NL and you must know all NL bands.
I prefer Chrome: https://www.sputnikmusic.com/bands/Celestial-Season/7289/

Oh are they really? Then it's even weirder that I don't know them, especially in that field... Chrome has been added to the (ever growing, never shrinking) stack of albums that I need to check.

All their albums are quite different, so good luck.

If Eleanor had decent lyrics, it'd be one of the best songs *chills*
Wondering if maybe I've underrated this all along, gonna jam in full again soon

Oh yeah good!!!! The more the merrier! Are you starting here? Perhaps do Souvenirs next, for some nice contrast. It How To Measure A Planet for an incredible spacey odyssey.
|
| |
It is! I was kinda thinking of just going chrono from this to Souvenirs and then going from there, but I could throw some caution to the wind and hit up Souvenirs next
I like this a lot and am diggin what I heard of Nightime Birds from yesterday, too. This lady has the very pretty voice

Go chrono! Souvenirs is GOAT, but it's all about the journey!

Yeah chrono is the best way! I wasn't sure whether you wanted to invest so much time into it as to check all of them, but chronological is super cool with their discog. What a transformation and what a successful stretch of albums.
|
| |
It might take me a while, but I am intrigued enough to invest the time. Plus, I am at the tail end of quarantine from a case of the covid so I ain't doin a whole lot at the moment anyway
10k+1! ohmygoodness
