i would suggest hex but it looks like you already discovered that. hex is so much better than this for me. so much more atmosphere. get spirit of eden and codename:dustsucker. also mark hollis' solo stuff.

i still have to rate this... maybe it will be 3.5 or 4. its great but it misses something for me. hex took this sound and perfected it. i do need to listen to this a lot more though. hex took me a while to grow on me and i havent listened to this nearly as much.
