Lol Crysis.

The ones about how this album is boring towards the end and not the best Burzum record.

Ah, ok. It's probably the majority opinion here, though, if I'm not mistaken. High-five for 5'ing Autumn Aurora though.

I like Hvis lyset tar oss more than this one. Also, the ending of this cd is kind of a mess.

"the majority opinion here"
Yeah, I'm full of hate

"Also, the ending of this cd is kind of a mess."
It's just more of an experience than something you will listen to while sitting on your computer chair.

I find this to be their best by a small margin, but their self-titled and Det Som Engang Var are right up there with this and Hvis Lyset Tar Oss tbh.

I know you know better Hawks, but it still seems really funny to see the word "their" when talking about Burzum.

Hahahaha, a friend of mine told me to listen to two of his favourite bands, unfortunately I had no idea those were black metal bands. Anyway, this albums i one of the shit he told me to listen (the other one was Mayhem). OMFG, I've never heard so much shit put together! OMFFFFFFG!!! There are no layers, no rhythm, nothing! Even Lady Fucking Gaga has more diversity in a single song than this whole album has (or black metal in general)! Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like good "brutal" music, I love avant garde and djent metal...but this... OMFG!!! Even when I listen to the stream of piss in the morning or when I take a dump and my shit hits the water...even that has more time signatures than this shit!

lol

Yeah, the end of this album sucks, obviously. But I personally just don't care as much for the scatter-brained mess that is Det Som Engang Var. Lost Wisdom and Key to the Gate are pretty good though.

yeah det som engang var being a 'scatter-brained mess' = ugh lrn2bm

Yep, Pyopus and Meshuggah for example sound WAAAAAAAAY more brutal than this crap, not that it matters anyway...a band being "brutal" or not doesn't matter at all. A band might be unbearable to someone, great to someone else... but this shit ain't music at all! It's the same fucking sound stretched into infinity along with boy getting raped for hours and screaming into my ear! God damnit, even electronic music is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more diverse than this shit.

@Cryogenix: cool story bro.

i've only heard Det Som and Belus so far. really enjoyed both, despite how repetitive Belus was. i think i'm gonna try and go through the rest of his early albums before looking into the new one.

well he's right about one thing, meshuggah are certainly the most tech brutal death band i've heard, a lot more brutal than burzum is that's for sure
