Dead Winter Days then As Embers Dress the Sky for me. They're all close though.

Hallways used to be my favorite but I think it's Embers now. Or Dead Winter Days.

Whole things rules, but Embers is prob the best track. I love the intro riff with the clean vocals.

Everything about Embers is just perfect. I especially love the clean guitar solo from about 4:52 on.

Ashes is perfect. There are a few spots on here that annoy me.

I need to listen to this one a lot more.

lol, I still have not listened to this album since posting this. Radiohead Appreciation Week combined w/ the new Glassjaw EP has kept me occupied.

I'll see if i can get to it today or tomorrow. Because NOTHING ELSE is getting played on Saturday besides The King of Limbs.

Ashes is third for me. I dont think its quite as good as this or The Mantle. Anyway this is probably their most diverse album

I dunno, despite what an excellent album this is, I could never 5 it. There are a couple parts that I feel are just kind of silly (the riff change at the end of SPFATS Pt. 2, that one vocal part at the beginning of Pt. 3, and the piano banging part).

Also, Marrow is their most diverse by quite a bit.

Thats their least imo, theres barely any acoustic guitar interludes or clean vocals which really make their first two albums.

we're talking about diversity here, not two aspects that they used less. point is, they're there - with a lot of other influences. marrow is their most diverse album.

Yeah, but that's basically all The Mantle is, and they're used on almost every song here. Marrow is much more diverse in terms of both song structure and influence (not making a case that it's better).

what Agalloch do here they do masterfully but on Marrow they branch out a bit more. I think both albums are as good as each other and Marrow makes me incredibly excited to see where they go next.
