I am relieved, I like this a lot more than Luminiscent Bridge which to me seemed to muddled both their styles together in way that actually produced a watered down version of both.



My only complaint here is the sound. Maybe it is spotify but that clicky bass drum reminds me of bad 1990s industrial metal productions, very anorganic and thus not appropriate for Blood Incantation

yeah i hate it too but i'm also becoming a stickler for that. I think it sounds a little better on the new album maybe.

YEAH. They recorded that on tape I think and it's like peak organic dm sound, particularly the drums. The first Faceless Burial LP and few others reach that same peak of sound design.

Album is a bit of a mixed bag for me. Guitar work indeed suffered a bit in function of the ambient parts, which are in itself fantastic. Probably will be a 4 in my book
