Just gonna assume that everyone does the job but Anders who is drunk and thinks he's the biggest superstar in the world

That's pretty much the truth. Anders has been drunk every time I've seen them, I believe, but his job is also the easiest in the band.

i mean when u go on stage and all u gotta say is I FEEL LIKE SHIT BUT AT LEAST I FEEL SOMETHING which is likely true in that scenario then
|

TBF It might have just been Anders ruining the whole thing, and I've been tired of melodeath for a while
@flugo JK, glad you got to enjoy those shows yourself!

I saw in flames this fall and they were playing Scorn, graveland, behind space, and the hive. They sounded great.

They played those songs live too when I saw them. It was a great concert. Even the newer stuff sounded great live especially the singles off Foregone.

I had an opportunity to see them earlier this year when they were touring with Megadeth, Lamb of God and Trivium but I opted not to go. It's a real gamble on what their setlist's gonna be I feel. I see mixed comments about them mostly playing newer stuff, playing half old and half new... you really never know it seems lmao.

I always look up setlists from the tour they're on

I decided to do that just now and it looks like the only older song of theirs they played was Behind Space, meanwhile everything else in the setlist was post-Clayman. Damn, you guys got lucky lmao.

The only pre clayman songs they played when I went were behind space and graveland, but they of course played only for the weak. It was cool to see those even though I still wonder why graveland was their go to from TJR. Maybe because a lot of TJR would sound empty without three guitarists

Don’t feel bad lads, I saw them 16 years ago and they were still playing their new crap, but they did tickle with only for the week and pinball map
Like dam can a brotha catch a break

i base my going to In Flames shows on whatever old songs they sneak into their set, so when they toured in 2018 I got tickets just to see them play Colony. so worth it
(1000th comment is about in flames woohoo yea)

Fuck it. I'm bumping this to a 5. Nothing beats early In Flames.

I'll always say that despite what they would eventually become, In Flames' run from Jester to Clayman (and hell even Lunar and Subterranean are a damn good start) is perhaps one of the genre's greatest runs of albums ever made. They certainly cemented themselves as one of the frontrunners of melodeath in its heyday.

It's fascinating how delusional almost all metal bands are to their own work. The only band that seems to know that their old shit is the best is Metallica out of all bands lol
