I'll second, third, fourth, and fifth the opinion that Meshuggah is a killer live band. If this is your first time, you're gonna have a fucking blast.

I feel like a teenager again everytime I see them live, and I am a tall muscular dude but can’t help jumping and dancing around to their polyrhythms

last show I started the pit to Rational Gaze by swinging my brother around in circles

This is definitely better than Koloss but I can't help to think Meshuggah post-ObZen sounds very samey.

Idk what they're looking like as far as actually financially *being able* to retire, but I am all for it if they want to. Their music has (funny enough, considering their band name and subject matter of many of their songs) brought me a good amount of mental and emotional stability and peace and no one could ever repay them or even convey to them what their music means to me. If they want to be done soon, I say let em fuckin be done. They've done and accomplished more than anyone would ever have the right to ask of them.

I mean if they want to keep going then by all fuckin means! Lol. But I like to think that after almost 40 years of being creatively and qualitatively unparalleled, if they so desire, they have damn well earned their R&R
