No album is perfect, but I'm pretty sure this is pretty close to as perfect as one can get

Waters' vocals on Shine On are perfect [2]

this is the case with a lot of his singing for me. people harp on Roger's voice because it doesn't have traditionally aesthetically pleasing qualities like Dave's does...but it wouldn't fit a lot of the music imo..

a lot of PF's stuff that I love the most deals with mental illness/instability and just general discontentment or anger with different aspects of society, often employing heavy sarcasm as well to get that point across. for my $, no one ever has or probably ever will nail that tone like Roger.

"That's a big assumption to make."

Go big or go home. Screw everybody and their little assumptions.

By the way, it is possible to love imperfect things... which consist of everything on this planet. The album isn't perfect, but I love everything about it.

Yeah Roger's vocals rule on Animals.

Although having said that Gilmour's vocals during the first half of Dogs are one of the highlights on the album for me, along with his solos on that song too of course.

Agreed with that, Gilmour definitely could have sang the rest of Dogs without the end result bring much different. Pigs and

Sheep would've been worse of Gilmour sang them though IMO, wouldn't fit the music at all.

No fucking way Gilmour's voice is perfect for the first half of Dogs and nothing about that can change

I should've been clearer: GILMLOUR could have sang the rest of dogs, he nails the first halfamd his voice would have been MASSIVE in the "who was" climax.

Gilmores voice would not have been good for the end of dogs, like the firstcomment on this page says his voice doesn't

always fit as well as Rogers. Second half of dogs is way darker, the dramatic change in topic and voice is what makes

Dogs

The BBC doc on the making of this is superb and shows the fucking devastating unraveling of Syd. Greatest tribute album ever.

That was on the other night, I didn't watch it as I've already seen it. Watched the Delicate Sound of Thunder concert film that was on though, hadn't seen that before.
