Never understood the hate for Alexithymia! Such a great song. Mathematics and Hello Alone are the reason why I don't have this as a 5. Not that they are bad songs.

^Those three songs are the exact reason this isn't a 5 for me. They're not bad at all, just pretty forgettable (at least in comparison to the other tracks here). Having a bit of a bland midsection does make the intro to Reclusion seem even that more epic though.

"Unwinding Cable Car"...they messed up on that song here in Austin. I was never quite as into it as other people, but knowing how much it means to everyone really made me feel disappointed.
Also, what's this hate for "Hello Alone?" I love that song, really speaks to high school me's sense of isolation.

Did they? UWCC was great here, though of course the usual caveat of the bridge not being as powerful.
And yeah the lyrics of Hello Alone are great but the fact that you put a question mark after it is exactly my problem. The way he interjects with the questioning "Hello? Alone?" sort of kills the song's energy of the chorus

UWCC was what made me fall in love with the band in the first place.

"fin is the real savior of this album"
Humbly disagree. "(fin.)" is just the icing on the cake for me. The album starts off with what is probably my favorite Anberlin song, "Godspeed," then the perfect follow up song to that incredible energy in "Adelaide." I personally didn't really discover the beauty of the final track until multiple listens.

yeah godspeed is catchy as hell but fin is so much better than anything else on here it's just hilarious

@Storm
Godspeed definitely rules, but fin is so beyond anything else in terms of scope that it's unfair. especially that vocal cadenza. I actually think the second most impressive song is Dismantle.Repair... such a kickass chorus (and unorthodox for Anberlin). Then there's UWCC of course. I'd say Godspeed (and A Whisper and a Clamor, which might be controversial) are after those three.

Never noticed how some of the lyrics of Dismatle. Repair. carry over into Fin.
