everything after cts is really hit or miss. while there’s a lot of mediocrity there are some legit tracks to be found. jaguar god is a top 10 mastodon track and the cold dark place ep was very cool.

fuck man, RIP Brent. This was my entry point into mastodon when I was in high school, and honestly if not for this album I don’t know if I would’ve ever wanted to start my own band. I feel very fortunate to have seen them as many times as I have over the years.
