problem with family guy is that if you're not american you don't get half the jokes cos they overuse pop culture jokes and I have no idea who they're talking about most of the time

Well granted I haven't really watched much of American Dad, but from what little I watched(3-4 episodes) it all seemed identical
The humor was identical, it looked identical, the characters were identical
It even sounded the same

Amerixan Dad is more about story and character interactions whereas Family Guy is all about pop culture reference-laden

Always preferred Futurama and older Simpsons to either, hell I even enjoy "new"(cause really they're not new anymore) Simpsons more(Though I haven't seen anything from the Simpsons past season 15 in years)

oh Simpsons and Futurama are on a whole different level. The Simpsons is my favourite cartoon ever, despite the lackluster past twelve or so seasons.
