“Album always reeked of "we don't have enough songs for an album, let's just pad this thing with pointless interludes and call it a day".
In the documentary Mike claims they turned the album in and the label gave it back and told them they needed more singles, which is iirc where The Catalyst and possibly Waiting for the End came from. Honestly wonder what they cut to put the more radio friendly songs in (I think a full version of Animals may have been excised)

If this album was just the interludes it would still be better than Living Things and Hunting Party

Let's not act like the lyricism of modern day Paramore is any less on the nose and angsty than classic Paramore

Album Rating: 1.5
well yeah, contemp paramore has hit rock-bottom in that dept (not that it was ever their forte)
|

Album Rating: 4.5
yeah, it was never their forte, so why criticize them for it now with their new stuff, here comes the snarky rebuttal
