This album is a masterpiece. When I first listened to this I was like "Oh shit, this is different for Mastodon". A couple of listens and I fell in love. I can't find anything wrong about this album. The songwriting is spectacular, the order of the songs is perfect, beautiful lyrics and the riffs are just cum worthy. This was a 5 for me since it came out. I don't know why it took a lot of people a while to really get into this, I guess I dived in with more accepting and open minded eardrums. None the less I'm glad most of us are on the same page now. Ghost Of Karelia is probably my favorite track. And I fucking love the riff in the verse of Quintessence, that shit is auto eargasm.
