I’ve alternately liked and hated this album at times. The biggest problem with it is the production. Akeldama has a couple of fun jams that this one can’t match, like Pestilence

Planetary duality II’s intro still grooves hard.

Akeldama has a bit more raw production than this. Sounds like early BoO. I still like that one a lot, think I'm a sucker for the unique riffing and drumming featured here along w the sci-fi vibes.

"I've never understood why this or Trivium's Shogun should be "-core", whether death or metal"
i like your style, kid

Super late on this, but yeah, that's because this isn't -core in the slightest. Hell, Akeldama was barely -core, despite people trying to label it as deathcore. Always seemed like prog/tech death metal to me

Yeah, I saw them back when they played at Summer Slaughter '12. Wasn't a big fan of the sound quality (the rhythm guitarist was way too fucking loud, so I couldn't hear Michael's solos very well), but the song selection was great. An Autopsy was amazing as an encore \m/
