the rams somewhat returning to form was one of my best offseason predictions
starkly contrasted with the seahawks being super bowl contenders lol

“Classic Jaguars and their self inflicted wounds”
that first half felt like it was all jags but they just kept shooting themselves in the foot right when it came time to score. granted we found a seam with the RPO in the 2nd half and blew the doors off y’alls rush D so i still think we pull that one out but still.
anyway losing keaton mitchell for the yr is such a massive blow for this team fml

Will Levis is really pushing to play apparently and really I just wanna wrap the dude in bubble wrap and call it a season. We're likely rolling with him next year, we're out of the playoff running (or any semblance of hope) so might as well ride it out with Tanny/Mailk.
Hell, looks like half our damn team is on the injury report right now lmao

A lot of backup QBs are gonna be paid like never before after this year lol

I could see owners agreeing to bump up the salary cap to accommodate more attractive backup contracts or have backup QBs not hit against the cap or something, because at this point not having someone behind the QB1 is becoming more and more devastating.
I'm literally so terrified of the JAXvTB game this weekend... we lose that game, our season is effectively on life support. The last month for me has been pretty sad (outside of fantasy).

i don't think the owners can do anything about any of this, short of making offensive holding legal or something.
edge rushers on average just vastly outclass the o-linemen they are going against, largely because a) college and high school football may as well be a different sport than the nfl in terms of oline play and b) colleges and high schools pretty much funnel all their biggest best athletes to edge rusher as the rb and mlb positions have devalued over time. think both of these (plus some extra bad luck) have caused qb injuries to skyrocket this year.
there aren't even 32 worthy starting qbs in this league, and the backup qbs who do keep the ship afloat (purdy last year, nick foles & case keenum 2017, jake browning this year) can be largely credited to playing on already great teams with great systems in place.
most teams can't really invest in good backup qbs even if they wanted to because all these guys believe they should be starting. joe flacco & carson wentz, who'd have prob commanded the most money of any backup tier guys in the league refused to even sign with a team until a situation opened up where they'd get to play. same with philip rivers who is "retired" but apparently calls every team who sustains a qb injury.

The more Jake browning plays, the worse Joe burrow looks low key

Also Puka Nacua is now top five in all time rookie receiving yards. Dude needs a medal

Strouds last month of play/non play due to injury is paving the way for Nacua to get OROTY. If he can survive the QB bias baked into every offensive award, he should get it and rightfully so. Only other name id put close to the top is Laporta but I think Nacua has had a far bigger impact.

Rams are gonna be a tough out if they can make the playoffs. Very dangerous offense when they get rolling.

Hey Mars? Can we get a Marsbro power rankings this year? Idk if you’re still super slammed but I figured I’d ask. Maybe after Week 18?

It ain't happening this year, sorry. I've watched hardly any games beyond the Titans, I just don't really know enough about the game this year. Haven't had the time and what I HAVE had the time, I've been out doing stuff or writing. Just couldn't find the space :^/

Breaks my heart but I understand.
Anyway i think ravens/niners is the matchup of the week?
|
| |
ravens/niners is prob matchup of the year. the pound for pound best teams in both conferences this season and both teams are top 15 all time in dvoa.
despite all the qb injurys ruining all their prime time games, the nfl has to be creaming themselves over getting this matchup on christmas day. will probably annihilate whatever nba games it goes up against
|
| |
and yet i think the 49ers are still a tier above us. absolutely wild how good they are
ravens very rarely get blown out though so i expect a close game (knock on wood)
