I really like I Gave Up as well. One of my favorites on the album along with In Motion (my favorite), On My Teeth, Sink With You and No Frame. It Has to Start Somewhere is pretty good also. The rest is bad to meh though. Still, a decent album. I used to have it at a 3.5, but I got bored with it in about a week. Same thing happened with Amo. Not much longevity/lasting power.

yeah i mean, it's the worst closer they've done with spencer but considering how basically everything TOCS-onwards ends on a masterpiece of a track imo, that isn't even a harsh critique

i still love just about every song here except maybe wake me which is just okay, and my amo rating is higher now than it was when i reviewed it in january (thanks to mother tongue finally clicking)

it took me falling in love (some of y'all know what i'm talking about) to finally get mother tongue to click honestly. i still have some issues with it - oli's just not meant for that type of song vocally, for example - but now i love it

Erase Me is way better than Amo which is saying a lot. Wouldnt say theyre the same album either. This one is more just Pop Rock thats slightly Industrial at parts whereas Amo is literally just straight up Pop.
