hell I got into Adore faster than I did this one

then again my favorite bands at the time were Depeche Mode and Primal Scream so, it wasn't that far-fetched

oh shit haha sorry for calling you blic bloc xD

I think the most underappreciated here(that doesn't start with "Space..") is Quiet. The "Scentless Apprentice" of this album.

QUIET. I AM SLEEEPING

I actually kinda get where you're coming from with the Scentless Apprentice thing too

I've never thought of it like that but both songs basically stake their claim by being simple but effective, huge riff heavy track 2's that make some use of scale-ascending electric guitars to drive the point home

i love these groovy melodies and soothing voices. such a foundational record for me even though I don't consider myself an alt rock/shoegaze expert at all. I love grunge though but need to listen to way more before i feel satisfied. still i feel it shaped my tastes in music even though I heard this album in my mid twenties By then, usually people developed their own propensities towards music (which may change but not always) and mine were all towards hip hop/metal)

glad you agree. Both are underrated as fuck too.

I agree too though that this is *VERY* far removed from grunge. I get that grunge was more so a label and a movement at the time but it's pretty inexcusable that even nowadays you get people calling this a "grunge album" when it's honestly pretty clearly not. It does have the attitude in a lot of places though.
