I doubt it's accidental. Every riff on here is so calculated and precise.
This is one of those albums where I can just stop and absorb nothing but all that's going on, instrumentally and vocally. Every decision is so deliberate, it's ridiculous.

Artists like this owe their fans a lot. At least enough to keep them informed more than once a year on what's happening.

They gave you a great album, you paid for it. The rest of that stuff is simply because you like them, you aren't required to do any of that. So no they don't.

Not a great album. Amazing, epic album.
They still ship merchandise so they're clearly still active, give it time.
A lot of bands like these guys have a lot of life issues outside of the group (jobs), sometimes overriding the needs of the fans/band. Life can get complicated and you can lose track of things. I think it's better to be understanding than upset.
