Geese never gets old

Also newfound appreciation for Val Jester on my last spin of this. Amazing tune.

Heavenfaced is good but I hate the ending of it for some reason
top 3 for me off of Trouble are Sea of Love, This Is The Last Time, and Graceless, tho I have a serious soft spot for Pink Rabbits and Need My Girl as well. That album is weird in that I never wanna listen to it, but when I do I find it better each time

Digging: Charli XCX - Brat

"Fireproof I think you might be in the minority on that one."

That's what I've noticed so far, not only is my favorite track from trouble, but also I think is one of my top 5 favorite National songs.

"Karen is awesome, probably top half for me. "

I find Karen to be one of the weakest tracks in here, though it still is an excellent one.

Trouble is probably the National album I return to the most, though this and High Violet are the best ones.

Alligator is currently my go-to album but I guess it may be because it is the most...upbeat? Idk I keep getting drawn to the sound on that album than the others at the moment

And yes HV is their darkest. Found the band when I was pretty depressed and played HV for months continuously

Alligator is also my go to album, now I'm truly sure that it's The National's best record

Karen was the first song by this band I really loved...

I think this is their most alive-sounding album. It's got the most phantom sounds, and the biggest variety in atmospheres.

"Heavenfaced is good but I hate the ending of it for some reason"

aw man that part is so beautiful. reminds me of The Cure or something

My gf also loves this band which is great lol. Have also really gotten her into PBTT, Hop Along, and Laura Stevenson this year, and she got me into Saintseneca

I'm trying to get my gf into this band, so far I've got nice results, but I have to say I was specting her to show more love to this, so I feel kind of disapointed, lol.

funny enough my gf has seen a shit ton of great shows (Frank Turner, Coheed, Saintseneca, etc.) and the only thing i have over her is that i have seen Paramore

checking out some songs from Sad Lovers, and i dunno how i feel about it. Available tho is A+

first three songs on that album are the bee's knees. i seriously doubt they'll ever make another song like "Cardinal Song." like holy shit it's a 6-minute opener with a hazy 2-minute instrumental break right in the middle haha
