Aside from the 3 masterpieces, none of their albums flow that great. But that’s why we have playlists, cause they also have 3-10 b-sides from each album cycle.

Huh I never posted anything here. I remember hearing this for the first couple times and not really getting it at all, but this was also around the time when I was expanding my musical tastes more. So I remember it not taking all too long for it to click with me. I believe I would rate this one as a 5. Amnesiac is the one that feels a lot more of a mixed bag to me.

yeah, this was quintessential 'expand your tastes-core'... for a generation
you either accepted its embrace, or were rendered forever destined to lead a lesser life
|

Amnesiac only feels like a mixed bag because the best songs are the best Radiohead songs and the worst songs are not
Can't say the same either way for this
|

Which is the worst song

On this? Hmm, discounting Treefingers, probably In Limbo or Optimistic
|
| |
S (9/10 territory): Morning Bell, Idioteque, How To Disappear Completely
A: Kid A, Motion Picture Soundtrack
B: Everything In Its Right Place, National Anthem
C (6/10 territory): Treefingers, In Limbo, Optimistic

Optimistic is amazing, damn
Worst is Treefingers but if that doesn’t count Motion Picture Disney Snoozefest
|
| |
Optimistic is every milquetoast Bendsism dosed up with a little alienation to match the rest of this album's palette, and I am not buying it

Treefingers yeah
Johnny's Bs are As...
actually National Anthem is an S+

I legit don’t see anything about The Bends style in Optimistic other than that it’s the most “rock” the album has to offer. Like OK Computer? Maybe, but that guitar line and drums and the coda at the end… like where’s The Bends at all?

Never really warmed to the T/T, Pull/Pulk on the next album does the whole look we can do abstract stuff as well a lot better imo
