yeah gotta make it more widely known that this album was officially remastered in 2015 and sounds a hell of a lot better.

"Mastered for iTunes" version available for purchase digitally http://www.metallica.com/store/music/death-magnetic-digital-download/9422.html or through less scrupulous means

cool. does the remaster fix the bland songwriting or the poor attempt to appeal to the same fans they basically said fuck you to a decade or so earlier?

I hope with Metallica as an example future professional bands take note on these 2 lessons:

- Bob Rock will either kill or enhance your career, but I'm towards the first one.

- Rick Rubin is a good producer but as a mixer he fucking sucks.

Heck, even Rock killed 2 of my favourite bands producing their albums: Our Lady Peace and Offspring.

For me, Offspring last GOOD album was splinter. None of the following albums are worth listening.

Bro, Metallica had the opportunity to mix Justice properly and they didn't do it, why would you expect them to do it with this album?

I....have to admit that I bought this album back in the day, and now I'm thinking it's a waste of money, especially since in my country Cd's are PRETTY expensive.

That is why you like this. You think mixing will save an album when in reality some of the most raw albums with terrible production are the best. You'll get it some day hun, it takes time to appreciate soul over soulless.

I mean the mixing of Pixies Surfer Rosa sometimes sounds like a mess but even in that particular case the instruments sound in equal parts, but whatever...

You're confusing me, so what were those quotes up there about? What does that have to do with this album? And yes I'm sorry you wasted money on this CD, you can at least keep listening to it and find something good from it maybe?

^ You, BarbiePop, do not like/can't stand/hate the Metallica album, 'Death Magnetic'. That is very much understood by all, no real need to repeat this expression over and over, as we GET IT.
