It’s the first time I’ve actually attempted to play that version and it just sounded awful, like I had to crank it to ear-piercing volumes to get the ‘punch’.
I haven’t had that problem with my ‘physically obtained digital copy’ so can only assume it’s a Spotify issue. I actually abandoned my play-through a couple of tracks in (after attempting to mess with the settings) and decided to stick Long Road North on instead (which was actually okay?!).
So strange!

I previously thought the production was a really strong point, it DOES sound huge!!! Stupid Spotify. Either that or my ears are fooked. Possible.

Yeah but like I say the difference in albums I’ve ‘compared’ (not purposefully) before has been negligible to my ears, whereas I’m pretty sure if that was my only experience of this album I’d be like… ‘why does this sound like asssssssss’
To think that’s the only way a hell of a lot of people will have heard this. Damn!
