Yh I mean I don't even listen to that much thrash I just respect it greatly, but when I do it's usually either more melodic stuff like 'tallica or hardcore stuff that you can just, well, thrash to like Slayer, Dark Angel old Sep etc. At the end of the day thrash isn't really meant to be sophisticated or even musical rly it's just an excuse to be a drunk hooligan and headbang til the sun comes up m/

Just check out their albums Edge of the Earth and Monolith, its fantastic melodic thrash with harsh vocals. Funnily enough People on this site often pretend to hate them while deep down agreeing that they're the greatest thrash outfit of the 21st century.

Nah only their debut can really be considered metalcore, although its damn good too. Their other ones have sporadic clean vocals but they're definitely thrash not metalcore.

Yeh but there are millions of thrash bands out there and most of them just riff all day. Obvs you'll have some high-end arty ones but bare-boned archetypal thrash is not really melodic or songwriting focused at all
