I really really need to give this a full and attentive listen again. I usually just pull up Phantoms, Immutable, and The Faultless and then bounce.

Is this album a good starting point for Meshuggah? Heard a song on Octane and dug it so I want to hear more

Everyone has a different take but honestly they’re literally all incredible so there’s no wrong answer

I would honestly start with obZen. The band's sound can be kind of impenetrable at times but I feel like that album offers the best combination of all their facets.

My personal favorite is the Nothing re-release. Not sure if it's a "good" starting point but idk if there is actually a bad starting point with shug

Agreed, thought of obZen as well because of its nice overview of what they did up to that point.

Enjoy the ride and we'd love to hear what you think!
