they are a phenomenal live band. Seeing them again in October with Mizmor/Hell/Pelican/Lingua Ignota/Dope throne and tryptikon, should be quite a day

i wish the rest of this was as good as the bookends. album would be a 10/5
|
| |
the run of the first three songs here is just insanely good, though.
City Song -> Long Road -> Satan in the Wait
i mean goddamn.

it's true.
|
| |
satan in the wait is also very good. the rest of the album is pretty good but nothing comes remotely close to city song, guest house, and satan imo

reason they hate me is still my #1. first song of theirs I heard, and it is an absolute banger. Ocean Song is also really good

@CugnoBrasso: you are my hero of the day!
Reason they hate me was the song that got me into this band and album, but yeah the first 3 songs are epic. at first I loved the beginning and the end of the record, then the middle part (Daughter is such a grower) and now I gotta admit that Guest House kinda lost some of its appeal

i saw that gyro 3.5 -> 4.0 bump. sneaky.
;o)
