"I cant get down with Arctangent. Maybe cos im old but my days of camping in a fking field for shows are over plus metal outside in the day time is LAME."
I don't know how old you are, but the average age at ATG is probably around 30 which makes it such a relaxed festival cuz people know how to behave. and there are also alternative camping options but they are expensive ofc.

"Now to spend the next few months persuading my mates to go Arctangent with me...."
well, I went to my first ATG all by myself last year and it was the best thing I've ever done. You will meet so many great people - and many of them will also be there all by themselves. Travelling alone there also means: you don't miss any show cuz you are fucking waiting for other people to get ready and shit

My mates went this year and got fucking washed out. Im too old for that shit put it that way. I want a bed not camping and I want shows indoors not in a tent in the day time ,seen literally hundreds of sets like that and they just arent the same, Metal/heavy shows especially. Plus I can only take one weekend off in Summer and I go to Roadburn.
ATGs line ups arent strong enough for me to try and get another off. Theres usually 1 or 2 a day Id want to see. Too much post rock and shit for me. Friends dig it tho

yeah, that's basically my only fear about ATG: that fucking english weather. 2018 was amazing tho. very sunny with a few rain drops to cool down. THAT I can understand and Roadburn is the other amazing festival in EU next to ATG (tho Brutal Assault in CZ had a sick line up this year)

@Pika: my wife certainly has that going for her, weirdly she hates her accent, but I think it’s cute. I guess if you’re actually from these parts it might be different idk. She likes my (relatively) well-spoken accent, well it was once upon a time anyway, I think it lacks personality. Boring.

Nothing beats the Glasgow accent. It sounds as if they're gonna stab you at any given moment.

Mate, you ever been to Manchester lmao

Manc isn't that bad imo. At least not compared to Glaswegian, which is violence incarnate.
Scouse on the other hand doesn't sound completely threatening, but it got a dodgy twist to it.
