They suit it quite well, yeah, but considering how much better Rick and Dave are at vocals imagine how much better they would suit it

"not as bad as NightProwler did with his rating"
But I know the lyrics! :D

but a 4.5 shows you don't GET the lyrics ;)

No, the reason I have this at a 4.5 is that I rarely listen to it anymore. I used to. And have been listening to Floyd since... well, I can't even remember. But seeing as I so rarely visit it nowadays, I can't justify giving it a 5 (and also, I think "Welcome to the Machine" is nowhere near as good as the rest of the tracks). The only Floyd album I have today is DSotM. Believe me, quality-wise I could 5 both this, the Wall, Animals and DSotM, but I won't because I seldomly go there. As is it with all of my 5s, which is the reason I have so little of them.

Well, that came out rather negatively..

haha nah man its cool, I agree WTTM is the weak link here but its still such a powerful song and its not that far behind the others. Are you also saying Dark Side is their most timeless? Cause I'd have to agree there too. Ratings really don't mean shit though and you clearly appreciate your Floyd so it can slide
|

WttM is def important, especially when thinking about the time and its theme. And yeah, Dark Side would be their timeless masterpiece, IMO

Welcome to the Machine rules, no such thing as a weak link here.

yeah agreed wttm might actually be my fav on this tho it depends on the day
|
| |
WttM is not bad at all, nor am I trying to state that. But I don't think that it is at all as interesting as the other tracks. Might be that changes one day. I remember 5 or 6 years ago, WttM was my highlight of the album, whereas the SoyCD-parts were much more difficult getting into (due to my age being 15 or 16, and my knowledge and patience about prog was nowhere what it is today). But album still rules damn hard.
